Not positive, but I believe the HS Favored Enemies also gain the extra damage from the Bane of Enemies Feat.
If so then 21 levels of ranger could give 5 Favored Enemies and 5 levels of HS could give 2 FE for a total of 7 FE at level 26 and have 14 levels to invest elsewhere... like rogue or SD and get Epic Dodge. maybe not the best PvP idea, but at least it isn't a cookie cutter build
Hmmmm... Seven favored enemies, eh? I hadn't thought about that with a ranger crossover... It would make for a very spiteful ranger, though. SEVEN racial hatreds? Is NWN supporting bald-faced bigotry? Hmmmmmm...
Damn it... Bald-faced bigotry... Stupid character ideas. Now I'll have to create ANOTHER new character. There is no way I am ever going to make a character to lvl 40 at this rate.
I have done some extensive research on how a Ranger's Favored Enemies work. The number of Ranger faovored enemies is used to calculate the bonus you gain versus them. As I understand it, if you take Harper Scout it will not be counted with your Ranger FE's.
For example, 7 Ranger favored enemies will give you +7 to spot, listen, and damage versus each favored enemy. If you have 5 Ranger FE's and 2 Harper FE's, this is how it is calculated:
5 Ranger FE's give +5 to spot, listen and damage vs every Ranger FE.
2 Harper FE's give +2 to the first, and +1 to the second Harper FE.
You cannot double up on FE's using the two classes either.
As far as I have researched and tested, this is the case. If anyone else has tested this, please tell us what you have learned.
