vanilla item altered after relog

Hi, I found a ring of elemental resistance (vanilla version with 15- resists to elec, fire, acid, and cold dmg). After relogging the resists were all reduced to 5/-. Also my ring of fire protection was changed from 5% immunity to 5/-. I would much rather both items be the condition they were in originally . Thanks.

Yeah, that's an old ring from an old area treasure chest. It nerf's to 5 from 15. That ring was good up to level 40 now it's good to about level 10. Remember " life's a bear (actually a female dog) then ya die ..."

Is /10 an option on the table? Would give us an option between the 'lesser' 5/ and rings of power

You can get Resist feats or there are shields with /10 resist.

Used to be a ring that had /10, but I have not seen or heard of one dropping on the EE server

Ideally we could have something like

Lesser Ring of Elemental Resistance (4x 5/) [Loot drop, Vendor]
Lesser Ring of Power (3x 5/, Regen 1) [Loot drop, Vendor]
Ring of Elemental Resistance (4x 10/) [Loot drop]
Ring of Power (3x 10/, Regen 2) [Loot drop]
Greater Ring of Elemental Resistance (4x 15/) [Loot drop]
Greater Ring of Power (3x 15/, Regen 3) [Loot drop]

That way people that loot them won't end up with something only worth a fraction of the GP if they happen to put it on as well.

I'm not a fan of freedom being bundled into Rings of Power, but that's just me.

I try to keep damage resistance down due to it the fact you can use it with immunity items and feats to make you character almost invulnerable.

I have been down this road. It's this way it is for a reason.

Yeah but no acid protection. Perhaps you didn't notice that the Formian's and Umgahs use acid?

Oh thats easy then, just take the acid resist part off
Or increase/change the mob damage type
