Relogging as a Pale Masters
The script that damages characters when relogging is slaughtering Pale Masters. The damage done to the character is Divine Damage, Which PM's have a 100% Vulnerability to. So if You crash with 50% hp as a PM you will come back dead.

Something else that could be looked at is the forging process. They could be forged the same as a weapon. With an Unlimited ammo enchantment on them maybe. Melee users only have to socket and Forge a weapon one time. Bow and Crossbow users have to socket and forge their weapons once. While bow user ...

we dont always have the luxury to run over the hill( if i am fighting the dragonkin or wyvern im not gonna go hide my portal ) and besides policing where we put portals is a little much.

Well monks have superior base damage, maybe that is the reason. ( up to 3d10 with 28 monk or a combination of monk and sacred fist levels )

Dont see a need to blacklist spells , as nwn2 already worked out where scribed spells are weaker and less durable then the actual spell being put on it. actually with the "point blank shot" feat your ab and damage will go UP by 1.
