I still say the most effective fighter based build is the Fighter/Bard/RDD. Hell, even a half-orc could muster this build. Fighter 29/Bard 1/RDD 10.

I agree. The drops have been scarce of late even in the high level areas. Murken can finally hold his own against the Waste Giants without running to the caravan wagon screaming like a little girl. He gets 98xp each and has yet to see any drops. Let's say about a month ago he was getting nice drops ...

It should be noted that what cannot be forged onto a ranged weapon can sometimes be forged onto some ammo. Preach to the choir bub. It makes an arcane archer's job just that much harder. I know of only a few forge stones that affect bows effectively.
