Connection Problem

I have a new computer with windows 7, 64-bit.
Starting the game works fine but when I'm connecting to multiplayer I get :

"Connection Status:
Authorizing Name ...."

About 30 sec or more:

"Authorizing server down, skipping auth
Could not connect to master server, some
multiplayer services may not be available."

I can then "join internet game".

Do anyone now how I fix this ?

Thanks
Humiz

Hit the windows key(the one with the flag) + R. Type in firewall.cpl amd hit enter.
Select "Allow program or feature through Windows Firewall". Click change settings. Make sure that Neverwinter Nights 2 is checked.

Thank you driller for your fast answer.
I've tried to do as you wrote, but the problem is still there.
The Windows firewall is disconnected and I'm running Norman Security Suite.
Is the problem Norman ?

Thanks

I don't know. You could try disabling Norton temporarily and see.

The problem is likely Norton. Go to the CNET site at download.com and get some security ware that is not evil.

Norton security suite has its own firewall program. You will most likely have to set it to allow connection to the internet with that.

also if you are using a router with a firewall in it. You will have to set it to allow the computer to access the site.

I sometimes get this message. I usually just shut down the computer, modem and router to solve this problem.

Just some more suggestions to try. :)

Thank's for all the help, I've tried as nobody-special wrote but the problem is still there.
Another text appears when I click "join internet game":

"An error occured while trying to change your availability.
This might be a technical problem.
Please try again later."

Behind this text the server's tick's and when I click "ok" on the message box I can choose a server and log in.

Another thing, when I log on to this website it takes some time for the graphcis to finish so to speak.
The dragon picture looks like it's downloaded line by line.

Thanks

So you can still login? The reason the grfx on this website loads slow is because I have QoS set and the website is at a low priority compared to the game servers.

Yes, I can log in, it's just that it takes awhile.
Thanks all for your help.

I have solved the problem, it was Norman's Firewall that messed things up.
I have turned it off and are running windows own Firewall.
I hope windows Firewall work as god as Norman's.
Now everything works as it should.

That doggon Norman, he is as bad as Norton. Try comodo, though it can be a bit complicated.
