BSK Maps

Post by viobane »

I've started compiling screenshots of map areas, thinking it would be nice to have a worldmap. Is this something anyone else would be interested in? Is there a place to post it online for others to access? I could always sell them IC when they're finished (I just started so it could be awhile), and e-mail them out.

there is a way to have mini maps but only Driller can run the program.
The world is a strange place.

I was actually thinking of compiling jpeg files with arrows and identifying key areas / points of interest. It would be a larger scale map(s) using the mini maps from NWN.

I'm still pretty new here... small, regional maps would be real nice for the new people. But, careful with the spoilers. Part of the attractiveness of the server is the "explorability" of it.

perhaps a map could be drawn, with just labelled areas. could even be IC. with something like "holy crap, trolls in there. Do not disturb until level 15"

etc

Good to hear people's thoughts... Here's what I'll work on then:
  • :?: Spoiler free maps with just location information
:P Maps with info on Bosses & creatures in each area
    World Map
    :D Region Maps
It'll take me a bit of time to throw it all together, but I have one region done currently. My character, Solomon HighHaven is currently working on the maps as a tribute to Vor and protection of the populace, but is only level 20 so far. Many of the epic areas are not so friendly right now. Anyone who wants to assist me in whatever fashion you think is best, contact me in game.

Of course, Solomon IS a Campion of Vor, so be wary if you walk the evil path.

And heres me, the dwarf Rand McNally already half way through this, nevermind, I was going to sell the silly maps (linked to a website) for a couple of thousand gold each, might even have been accurate to those that are friendly, but you cannot complain if someone gets the same idea and gives out the info for free....

...damnable free enterprise, it would never happen in my warrens!

Thats why I'm a little against this. Part of the reason I loved Blackstone was because it held alot of mystery in the first few days. Then I got involved in incredible RP once traveled through every area. But I agree, don't reveal the spoilers.

We danced among the lightning bolts,
