Re: Pointless War
Arwaine_Sunstar - the fact that SOM is mostly lowbies that do not what to be slaughtered is something that I am fairly sure everyone can understand and sympathize with. That said, keep in mind, if you want to remain out of this, it is up to you not to get involved. If your members get themselves inv...

Re: Pointless War
I do not like server wars. But... I support the server wars. The problem with the server wars is that they are hard to avoid for people who prefer to RP and do not enjoy combat. This is why I understand Arwaine_Sunstar's position on this. I think she SHOULD have every right not to participate, but t...

Re: Useful Information
Each DM has a slightly different view of RP-lite - so this may not apply to the thinking of all the DM's here... Driller has set it up so you can delevel and then go earn back you xp. I point this out for no particular reason other than to point it out in reference to the following... It is not 'unc...

Re: The Starkson Protectorate - Update
This thread had so much potential.... oh well. To clarify and settle this matter - Hordack and Pharo - your both right and wrong on different points. Perhaps you should both drop it and move on with your lives. For the record, Hordack's RP post could have been replied to in RP in a manner which woul...

Re: Evil guilds
There are many 'flavors' of both good and evil. If your familiar with DragonLance.... the Knights of Takisis were evil - but were also honorable, lawful and generous to their subjects. In many ways it was more peaceful living under their strict rule than living in the more 'free' kingdoms. The King ...

Re: Evil guilds
I think now the question is: what actions can an evil guild do, that aren't bannable actions? Here's a list that I would like a dm to verify... 1) Attacking someone and killing them, but not bringing them to -11 hp (in other words they are holding on to life). 2) Casting Bigby's Forceful Hand on so...

Re: Evil guilds
The problem with evil in the past on BSK is that all too often they were 'stupid evil'. We have had evil groups and guilds and even had some nice drawn out wars... but all too often... somebody from the 'stupid evil' crowd gets involved and suddenly nobody is having fun and complaints start rolling ...

Re: Dwarven Guild
Well... Eon accepts followers of any alignment and she is reknown for taking the form of a man or of other races. It is also not uncommon for her to go by other names or different names with different groups. It would not be a far stretch for her to consider the dwarves as interesting enough that sh...

Re: Dwarven Guild
Reverence for elders or ancestor worship is common amoung dwarven races... that is the concept I based my suggestion on.

Re: Dwarven Guild
Special Note: BSK is not part of any of the D&D worlds or realms. D&D deities only apply to backstory, they are not supported by the server. The BSK gods are catagorized more by ideas, values (or lack of), and goals than by racial types. While some of the deities do seem to identify with a p...

Player Resource Notice: Dead Horse Subjects.
Here in you will find several topics that should not be brought up for discussion again, ever. Some of them are things we may do - if and when the time is right - however, there is no good to be served by hashing out the various ideas surrounding the topic. This is not a 'finished thread' .. I will ...

Re: Dwarven Guild
I thought the qualifications for 'cute girl' amoung dwarves amounted to that she was holding ale and had a beard to hold on to.
The more ale and more beard the cuter she becomes.

Re: Pick Pocketing and Forgies
LOL... back 'in the day' if you were not paying attention (and sometimes when you were) you could have your boots, armor, helm, weapon and shield picked off you while talking to Vogon.... this was back with the Keep was PvP and Vogon stood close enough to the tree that the multiconvo spam made RP a ...
